Late 19th Century Eastern European Grain Store accessories Circa 1840's Chinese Qing DynastyThis lovely piece originated in eastern Europe, possibly Hungary, in the 1890s. It was used as a grain store and was hollowed out and hand carved from a block of Chinese softwood. Nowadays however, it can be used as a unique storage space or an interesting planter.
